Hi there,

It's always been our dream to live off the land and in a small, environmentally sustainable home. We are searching for the perfect piece of land in New England for our future business endeavor of creating an off-grid space to live on, while having a gourmet mushroom and foraging business. Our plan entails having both beginner and experienced mycologists and artists, able to visit or stay and learn from nature with us. While on this journey we graciously ask for a lot of helping hands in making this dream come true. We want to be able to create this place and show people our progress with tutorials along the way. We will include videos, photos, and explanations of how other nature enthusiasts and environmentalists can live off the land as well. We will be sure to update any donors and viewers on how we are using our funds. We will be growing gourmet medicinal mushrooms and a full fruit and vegetable garden, as well as a greenhouse. It will utilize solar and hydroelectric power, and composting toilets. We will be using mushrooms as an aid in compost as well; providing clean fill and usable dirt to landscape with. We will also be using as many repurposed materials as we can. As this business grows we hope to make this space fit for artist residencies and mycology residencies. With Mike's background in electro-mechanical technologies as well as mycology and foraging; and Meghan's background in art and creative, sustainable lifestyles, we believe we have the opportunity to invest in something beautiful for the planet.
